Best Photos of 2018
It is now more than halfway through 2019, and I realized I never posted a “Best Photos” post for 2018. I guess I’ve been busy. Each year I create a “Best Photos” album for the year in Flickr. Here is the album I created for 2018:
That album has 20 photos in it. For the purposes of this post, I’m narrowing it down to six photos.
They are:
The is a beautiful garden of flowers I photographed on Mackinac Island in Michigan. The garden was near the Grand Hotel.
The MV Stewart J. Cort arriving via the Superior Entry. The ice is still a factor as it was taken in April.
My friend John Sinclair piloting the F4U-5 Corsair from the Wings of the North Air Museum during the 2018 AirExpo at Flying Cloud Field in Eden Prairie.
My Golden Retriever Watson mugging for the camera. This photo made Flickr’s “Explore” page and is one of my most favorited photos on Flickr.
The fireworks from July 5, 2018 in Duluth. They shoot them over the Duluth Harbor and I photographed them with the Duluth Lift Bridge framing them.
I had to include at least one lighthouse. This is the Sand Point Lighthouse in Escanaba, MI. This is one of seven lighthouses I photographed when my wife and I took a trip to the upper peninsula of Michigan in May of 2018.
