My family visited Beacon Shores Resort again this year. We’ve been visiting that resort since 1980 and it is definitely on my list of favorite places. One of the things I love about it is that the Whitefish Chain of lakes that the resort is located on is home many loons. On this trip I was able to get a bit closer than usual to a pair of loons and use my long zoom lens to photograph in the nice light of the late afternoon. They are gorgeous birds.
